wow! Oct is indeed an eventful month!
not only because it's my birthday month! but this month, this year has been filled with lots of grateful moments, polaroids and lazy skipping work for afternoon tea times...
and with that- we are now 3/4 in Oct! oh time!!
just 2 days ago, i celebrated my birthday and i must say,
it's better than the years before and i do believe that the years to come will

So, just last week i received an email asking if I was game to produce an illustration for the upcoming Hanger Magazine.

it's been awhile since i remember illustrating something... (minus the times i doodle on napkins).
the first thing that came to mind when i read the brief was- the Absolut Vodka bottle shape as the hair! I'm obsessed with hair (as some might know) I try to change it every time and dye it as frequent as my conscience would allow.

So that's where i started, the hair.
Adding "fashion element" wasn't as easy as i thought it would! I couldn't narrow down a particular thing that some what represented this figure i'm illustrating.

I did a couple of drafts for the body and got hold of some feedback and ta-da! I added in legs which i did contemplate at the start but didn't quite decide till the end! -which now i'm glad i did.

I drew in my wishlist bag- Givenchy Nightingale, leopard print, sheer top, pom poms and two shoes to personify everything i'm currently into. ㅋㅋ

Watch out for the final artwork in Hanger!

I'm quite excited myself! I do hope the colors are accurate! ^^

it's such a beautiful day, literally!
the skies were filled with puffy clouds and at every direction- a different composition.
A day fit for a picnic underneath the sky!
A day made for the sweetest things, a soiree, coffee and cakes!
i did none of those but cuddle up in my blanket and slept the afternoon away.
nonetheless, it was fulfilling.
it (really) has been awhile since i remember such an art class in session, up there.

and yes, we have a great moon tonight as well!

for lunch, i had the mirror and stared at the black roots that are growing in tacky fashion.

i couldn't stand it and wanted to dye it all black (again) and while i was still contemplating...

mum pushed and so kindly and excitingly gave up a sachet of her magic black organic dye and went about dyeing my locks/roots.

the pack was so small, only the lucky 1/4 got a taste of it.

my hair still smell like a packet of ginseng today but all is well!

the weather as been so crazy lately that it's making my nose and throat all funky.
i went to 7eleven today to get a popsicle- when i opened the wrapper and noms into the first bite, it was melting faster than i could eat with ease. ㅠㅠ

I have nothing much to say about the lunch sets we had :/
was quite disappointing actually... but the soup!
yes. only the soup (and the bread with the butter) is lovely.

to make up for the ... food, we took a lot of pictures to distract us from the sight of leftovers on the table. ㅋ
maybe we ordered the wrong food but i'll be giving this place a second chance, just cos :)

it was difficult to find a drama after "secret garden" to watch, simply because...it was dang good while it lasted.

Lie to Me came like a comfort food on a rainy day which was fulfilling ...

then came Spy Myung Wol weeks ago to the rescue! love them both main cast!

Eric is so hawwwwt.... and Ye Seul is always so pretty!

The tears only started at ep11 and you really gotta give the first few episodes a chance! (stick with it and it gets better!)

Don’t under-clean or over-clean your V-Zone. Be sensitive and don’t use chemicals or fragrances that may break the harmonious natural balance of your V-Zone.

Day 4: waking up in Hong Kong!

It's really different to be waking up in Hong Kong! :D the energy, the life!

so anyway, we woke up and headed straight for brunch.

the mission: egg tarts at 檀島咖啡 / Honolulu Coffee Shop (176-178 Hennessy Road, Wan Chai).

so we got in, sat...ordered the egg tarts and staple HK breakfast stuff like polo bun and instant noodles, sandwiches...etc.

80% in completing our meal- we found WIFI in the coffee shop!

and thank God we did because we got hungry again (yes) and the pork outside was calling!!

the waiter told us to wait till 11:30am because they only serve those-pork-rice-stuff for lunch.

we patiently waited and BAM!!! we fell in love~♡ ♡

So I DO STRONGLY recommend Honolulu Coffee Shop not for their egg tarts but for their generous cut succulent juicy tender PORKY RICE! yesssh... so good we wanted to go the next morning but it was not a grand idea knowing that our days are numbered and because we were going to shop in a different location. ㅋ

Never knew a place like this existed in Guangzhou!

Almost didn't make it there, but glad we did :)

5 things: products of use.

1) Nature Republic's Aloe Vera Gel. - got a sample of it and bought a tub a week after that. Been using it for months now! It's perfect for our oven weather!

2) Sally Hansen's Hard as Wraps. - chlorine from the pool does make nails thin and i didn't know about this fact till i got home one day after a swim and noticed that my toe nails have thinned and chipped off- halfway. I've just started using it, i sure hope it helps!

3) Garnier Light BB Moisturizer. - i say use it if you have been using Garnier's moisturizer. It's not my personal cup of tea since my skin doesn't take "fairness" products well and I don't really like BB creams in general- but for all it's worth, it's a steal!. I'm however pretty excited to try on the BB eye roll on- which i saw in Hong Kong but forgot to buy because of the many distractions -_-''.
I'll just be patient and wait for it to drop, in KL.

4) L'Oreal's Curl Impact Collagene Mascara.- oh, i totally love opening and using a new tube of mascara-this baby works like magic! (reminds me of the Lancome mascara i used to love using-this is only fraction of the price! RM59.90) Lash close-up= lashes amplified, all day long! currently using it and glad to have it in my makeup bag!

5) Halls extra strong candy.- the only candy flavor after anytime I'll pay for and crave for.

i bought this top almost a year ago.
i packed it to korea but never manage to wear it.
i recently brought it to hong kong and didn't manage to wear it!
i don't know why but finally, it saw the light of day- yesterday.

my dearest ex-college mate got married over the weekend.
it's been many many years and though we rarely meet,
when we do...we just hop on like we never stopped.
i'm very blessed :)

she sew two of her wedding gowns she wore that night and it was simply beautiful to
see her- all white and married to her first love :)
